In the first session, we reviewed our day out to Weston, and followed up an idea offered by one of the young people in relation to one of the artist’s work for WOW: to generate text to put up in windows of shops and in the library in Langport.
‘Around Here & Out There’ is a Making matters project for Somerset Art Works (SAW). Making Matters is part of the Somerset-wide Company of Voices intergenerational project. The aim of the project is to bring together older (50+) and younger people (under 25) to work together on positive activities that are of benefit to the local community. Through 2010 SAW has developed a diverse programme of projects engaging over 200 participants. Project artists Simon Lee Dicker and Sue Palmer
